K&M Wholesale Distribution, Inc.
K&M Wholesale Distribution Inc. is an increasingly powerful presence in the Northwest as a distributor of specific building materials. By maintaining a sharp focus on Door Hardware and Architectural Moldings, K&M has managed to grow steadily and remain strong in the critical areas of product expertise and customer service.
Based in Tacoma, Washington, K&M was born in October of 1998 as a partnership of Janet Kellie and David Miller - hence giving rise to the initials in the company name.
Janet brings to the company a rich and valuable history in sales of building materials. She has worked with several companies during her years in the industry and brings the fruits of this experience to the great benefit of K&M and its broad array of customers. Janet has also cultivated a solid foundation of contacts in the industry by way of her involvement in the Hoo-Hoo Club, having served as the first woman president of the Seattle chapter.
David comes with tremendous practical assets, having worked in pre-hanging and installation of doors and door hardware for over sixteen years. He has also managed production as well as shipping and receiving, all of which gives him a keen sense of efficiency as key purchasing agent for the company.
Kelvin Solsberry joined the team in the beginning of 2002 as warehouse/production manager. He oversees shipping, receiving and production and maintains one of the tightest and cleanest facilities in the port of Tacoma! Kelvin works hard to make sure the warehouse flows smoothly. His love of basketball keeps Kelvin busy most weekends.
Jody Teel has been an inside salesperson with K & M since September 2005. Her retail sales experience is the foundation of her excellent customer service skills and the professional manner in which she handles the processing of orders.
Sheri Hunter (aka Mini-Me) was added to the K & M family May 2006 to assist Janet with day-to-day business. Previously, Sheri was a retail manager, exposing her to many aspects of running a business. She has learned how to balance customer needs with company policy assuring a win-win scenario.
Pat Boni comes to K & M as an inside salesperson with industry experience. Having worked as an inside salesperson at a door shop, we were lucky to snag her in July of 2006. Her phone skills and attention to detail make Pat a valuable asset to K & M.
And last, but certainly not least, there are Jowhi and Bosco, the company dogs. Greeting each visitor with a friendly sniff, a wagging tail and an invitation to play fetch, (if you're lucky, Bosco may even give your shoes a quick tongue-polishing on the house!) they keep us smiling and help us all maintain our sanity.
